Getting to know the Mediation Africa Team

Regina is an accredited member of the ADR Institute of Canada/Ontario Chapter, the Ontario Association for Family and Child Protection Mediation.  She has over 22 years’ experience as a mediator and conflict resolution professional.  She was a staff Mediator for the Ontario Human Rights Commission (OHRC) and conducted mediations and statutory analyses during her tenure.As a senior mediator, Regina has conducted thousands of culturally-competent mediations, training and advisory services in the areas of human rights, court-annexed family, child protection conflict resolution and in Aboriginal and Indigenous communities. Regina provided Violence Against Women and Men Prevention Training Services as part of the Women’s Issues Unit of the Ontario Ministry of Citizenship.

Regina has expertise in mainstreaming culture and human rights perspectives into ADR service provision, using multiple lens approaches. Regina works with an elite team of trainers and presenters in the delivery of mediation training services to police officers and social workers in the Caribbean Commonwealth Region. Her international experience includes the design of a culturally-appropriate mediation system and a Policy and Procedures Manual for the Uganda Human Rights Commission. She also delivered mediation training to its staff. Regina uses her unique skills to improve and enhance relationships in communities, workplaces, families, service and other organizations.
